Our Directors
HCJ Group was founded by Sandra, Eddie, and Aaron—three local experts united by a shared vision: to combine their deep regional knowledge, practical experience, and commitment to quality service. Individually, they have each built respected businesses; together, they are raising the standard for service and delivery across the region.
Sandra began her career through an apprenticeship with Rio Tinto Weipa before co-founding Jai-Mec, a family-owned business known for its growth, reliability, and strong community focus. Sandra has helped Jai-Mec become a trusted name that actively supports local events and thrives on regional expertise.
Eddie is the driving force behind Steady Contracting, a company renowned for delivering dependable, high-quality services in the resource and mining sectors. With years of experience, he has built a reputation for reliability and excellence that clients trust. His dedication to safety, quality, and local employment is clear in all the work he undertakes as part of his collaboration with HCJ.
Aaron leads Cape York Maintenance Solutions (CYMS) in Weipa, specializing in mining, civil works, and bulk earthmoving. Supported by a skilled team of multi-qualified operators and qualified diesel fitters, Aaron’s background in diesel fitting and business management brings critical insight to the HCJ Group.
